We came here looking for a last minute restaurant on Valentine’s Day. After about 2 minutes of waiting we were seated, given our menus and offered drinks. We were told that they did not serve yum cha for dinner service but that didn’t bother us.
Our orders were taken 15-20 minutes after being seated which I felt was a little long, however the food came out fairly quickly after that. Once we had everything we ordered, our waiter had told us that we had everything we ordered (which was a nice touch) and to let him know if we needed anything else.
Chicken with crispy pancake - okay. It was a cold salad which we weren’t expecting. The pancake was yum
Pork buns - a little more sweet but nice
Chinese beef sizzle plate - delicious. Would definitely recommend
Chicken wings - nice and crispy, could do with a little more seasoning
Whitebait fritter - more on the expensive side but worth every cent!!
Prawn and cheese balls - the red crispy bits threw me off at first but they added a nice texture. Another must try menu item. Presentation was beautiful
Dinner menu has a lot to offer with a lot of unique dishes to try.
Parking wasn’t great due to it being shared with a number of other eateries. It was very busy and we had to circle the parking lot to find a space.
Wheelchair friendly - level entrance. Tables spaced well enough to allow accessibility
Although this restaurant is on the expensive side, I would definitely recommend if you’re wanting to try something new
I had an amazing dinner experience here. Each dish we had was delicious, with fresh, good quality ingredients. The seafood was so good! The standout dish of the evening for me was the truffle lobster, which was not my usual preference but turned out to be surprisingly delicious!
The service was attentive, friendly, and efficient. The atmosphere was comfortable and spacious. In my opinion, this is one of the best places to get authentic Chinese food in Auckland. I also tried their yum cha, which was just as good and authentic. I highly recommend it!
Well lit venue with plenty of seats and a decent amount of space behind you between tables. That being said though, would still recommend booking in advance anyway.
Very polite and attentive staff, you'll get service faster and with less hassle than you would other Chinese restaurants.
Food is excellent even the oily dishes aren't so heavy. It's on the pricier end but a fair cost for the quality of party of flavours dancing in your mouth. Recommend their shark fin fried rice and beef with more mushrooms.
Our go-to yum cha place. Service was super fast. Their roast duck was legit so good. Duck meat was so tender and the sauce was literally the best which tasted like they mix the plum syrup with the soybean paste. My fav was always the chicken feet were so yummy.
This was an interesting place.
We were given items we did not order but were charged, and some of the items we did order never arrived.
The items we did order were cooked beautifully and we enjoyed them.
I don't think we would go again due to the missed ordered item which was an essential part of my meal & being charged for the tiny plate of peanuts & pickled radish then a few cherries that were given to us but not ordered by us.
Update: We were charged more than the advertised cost of the meal by $5. I made the assumption that this was due to the extra items we received. A receipt for our bill was not provided.
